On May 4th, 2018, SuperAnt achieved yet another milestone in Cross-Border trade. SuperAnt and Sripatum University (SPU) have officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This collaboration ties both parties together to help SMEs in Thailand to Go Digital.

Both parties will be sharing expertise and resources such as digital market insight, digital skills and education to assist local businesses in digitizing their business models. SuperAnt will be channelling our expertise in cross-border and digital commerce. While SPU fulfils its educator and supportive role to support the Thai government’s economic initiatives.

Sripatum University: well-known private university in Thailand

SPU is one of the oldest and most prestigious private universities in Thailand established in 1970 by Dr Sook Pookayaporn. Formerly known as “Sripatum College”, the college was promoted to university status by the Ministry of University Affairs in 1987 and has since been known as Sripatum University.

The name “Sripatum” means “Source of Knowledge Blooming like a Lotus”. It was conferred on the college by Her Royal Highness, the Princess Mother Srinagarindra. SPU has been receiving many awards for its business and IT courses.

This renowned private university in Thailand has close relationships with the local Thai private sector:

  • providing managerial and practical industry opportunities for students
  • actively involved in Thai SMEs projects and events
  • support the Thai Government’s initiative to help SME growth

Collaboration: Sripatum University Graduate School of Management (SUGSM)

SuperAnt is the first Official Digital Partner of SUGSM. We will be supporting SUGSM with digital and technology solutions to help Thai SMEs to embrace the online world. This collaboration will promote cross-industry knowledge transfer as well as be bridging the gap between practical and digital knowledge.

Cross-industry knowledge transfer will be achieved through education efforts for Thai SMEs. They will learn more about digital marketing and how to bring their businesses online. All these will then spur sustainable local growth and help to build bridges connecting Thai SMEs with ASEAN and Chinese markets. Going online enables businesses today to get leads from around the world, SMEs need to tap into it to stay relevant.

Kickstarting SuperAnt-SPU’s First Project

SuperAnt will be the Digital Partner, leading Thai SMEs to China B2B trade shows. We will be providing market insight about China’s Cross-Border Ecommerce and digital marketing strategy, to enable smooth market penetration.

Dr Nilubon Sivabrovornvatana, the Director of Academic Service Centre of Sripatum University will head the Kunming Event project. She has extensive experience in Thailand SMEs and businesses which will help coordination of matters for participating businesses. On the other hand, SuperAnt will be supporting his efforts and work closely with Thai Government to help SMEs from Thailand to look beyond its borders for trade.
